Nguékhokh
Nguékhokh (or Nguekokh) is a city in the west of Senegal, very close to the Small-Coast, in the south of Dakar.
Histoire
Initially a rural community, Nguékhokh reached the level of a small village completely during the decentralisation in 1996.
In 1999, the association Oaks and Baobab created there, within the framework of interdependent tourism, an international welcome and information center (CIAF).
Geography
The city is on the trunk road N1 between M’bour and Rufisque.
The closest localities are Nguekokh Ouolof, Segueul, Keur Gonde, Medinatoul Mounawara,Diam Bougoum, Tiekes, Ngaring and Ndaring Serere.
Activités economic
Nguékhokh is close to several tourist centers of interest, for example the beaches of Saly or several protected areas, such as the Reserve of Bandia, the Natural reserve of Popenguine or the Community Natural reserve of interest of Somone.
