Park Ana Lídia

Description

Ana Lídia Park is a recreational park within the Sarah Kubitschek Park. It was inaugurated in 1971, underwent a renovation in 1999, along with the general works of the Sarah Kubitschek Park.

The park was created under the name of Iolanda Costa e Silva , wife of President Artur da Costa e Silva , who died in 1969 , but was renamed in honor of Ana Lídia, a child found dead with signs of torture near the University of Brasilia , in 1973 . The Ana Lídia Case has not been solved until today; the crime has been decreed.

In the park are presented several themes and reflections. There are references to pop , half-tropicalist bragging, Disney animated feature romanticism, and a traditional conception of childhood. It features a boot-shaped slide, and a pumpkin car from Cinderella, with all the rococo formed by the branches in the fairy tale wing. It has the boys' wing, with Apache huts, old west caravans and viking boats . In the background there is the futuristic or progressive wing, with a giant rocket and a bubble-shaped jungle. About six thousand people pass through the park during the weekend.
