Description
The Church of the 307/308 South or Our Lady of Fatima Church was the first temple in masonry to be erected in Brasilia , inaugurated on June 28, 1958 .
After the foundation stone on October 26, 1957 , the church was built in a hundred days, with the goal of paying a promise fromFirst Lady Sarah Kubitschek , made to heal her daughter.
The chapel was designed by Oscar Niemeyer and its architecture refers to a nuns' hat. In its interior and the façade you will find tiles of Athos Bulcão . The frescoes with bandeiroslas and angels of Alfredo Volpi , were covered by paint in a reform occurred in the decade of 1960
