Brasilia Botanical Garden

Description

The Botanical Garden of Brasilia was founded on March 8, 1985 , although its area has already been partly delimited since the construction of the city. It was the first Botanical Garden of Brazil with a predominant cerradoecosystem .

It has an area of ​​about 5 thousand hectares, of which 526 hectares  are open to visitation, with native and exotic plants properly identified, in addition to an ecological trail with 4,500 meters. In this area there are several attractions such as:

  • Garden on the move
  • Cerratenses
  • Picnic Area
  • Nature Library
  • Natural History Museum
  • Visitor Center
  • Tea house
  • Espaço Guido Pabst, with collection of native and exotic orchids
  • Kyoto forest
  • Bosque dos Ipês
  • Amphitheater

Another 4,429.63 hectares  are occupied by the Botanic Garden Ecological Station of Brasilia (EEJBB), administered by the Botanical Garden.
